I am thinking about doing more target shoots and want to get a new bow for it instead of using my Helim that I use for hunting. What bow should I get for this and what draw weight  should i set it at?

I currently shoot an MR7 and have been very happy with it.  I’m in the same boat as you and would like to do a lot of 3D shoots next year, but I’d kinda like to get another bow and just have it set up for the purpose of 3D.  I’m torn between just getting me another MR7 with 50 lb limbs, or waiting to see what comes out next year, hoping to have the option of trying something with a longer ATA.

If a new MR series bow doesn’t come out this November with a longer ATA, then I’ll probably end up getting another MR7 with some lighter limbs and more “target specific” accessories.

I hunt with a Monster 7, 50-60. This spring I got a MR8, 40-50 ld. limbs,  for my target bow. This is a great bow. Same type of bow I hunt with and more forgiving with the 8″ brace height. Shot very well outdoors. I have it setup for indoors and things feel great. I replaced a Triumph.
