I really like the Ramcat from smoke broadheads…. fly like a field point, sharp on both sides in case you dont get a pass thru they will cut their way back out. 1 3/8 in cutting diameter

The type of braodhead has less to do with blood trail than angle and shot placement do…

I used the Slick Tricks and Buzzcuts last year and both are excellent heads. I’m staying with Slick Tricks this year.

Not to mention what breaks loose internally and plugs a hole. But your point is on nonetheless. Case in point. I used to always try to shoot for a an exit through the far shoulder. (Whitetail. Not elk, hog, moose or the likes). Very lethal shot, through the heart or both lungs. So I usually found the carcass relatively close to where initially arrowed. But there was a very conspicuous LACK of blood. I’ve always been fond of shots low in the body. (Close to or through the heart). But quite often I found wound channels plugged with parts of one organ or another. Good blood trail starting off, then either dissipating or disappearing shortly after. I have experienced good blood trails, but could never equate it to the broadhead.

All that garbage said (sorry), I doubt you would be disappointed with any of the heads you listed if you’re hunting whitetail. Tune ‘em and practice, then play the wind. Shoot well and eat well. [=}=]

im a really big fan of the rage 2 blades, but im really looking into the 2 blade blood runners. Might be my future head :thumbup Look into both of them. For a solid fixed blade any muzzy or thunderheads are great :thumbup
