I put a new string and cable on my switchback and shot the bow a few times.  I got to looking and noticed I had the string and cable switched up in the roller guard (backwards if you will).  Any chance of hurting anything in this configuration?  Probably only about 25 shots were put on the bow….surprisingly, it shot the exact same and paper tuned well!:)

Thanks guys, just looking for an educational moment and some peace of mind!

As long as the string and cable look good I would think everything is good to go. Pressure on the string and cable should be about the same on both wheels and you didn’t shoot much before you discovered it.
Give it a good visual and take it from there. If you’re in doubt, I’d take it to a dealer and have em go over it.

    Happy shooting!

I guess a better question would be what is the worst that can happen or worse case scenario? Everything seems to look fine from what I can tell.

No, it doesn’t hurt anything. Restring it properly and retune and you are ready to go.

Haha. I got my bow like that from the shop new! I went insane trying to tune it. It would shoot arrows around corners:). I named my bow drunken sparrow. Haha. I almost thru it into a lake. I shot it thousands of times. No long term damage. Some VP from the factory called me. Fun chat. Nice man. You’re bow is fine!
