I’m in process to change my Z7 string.
I’ve been away of this forum for a while and would like your advice on the best string available for hunting.
Shall I also change the cable?
What about the weights on the lower end of the string, do I need to fit them on the new string?

    Thanks,
    Nelson

Yes, replace both the string and cable at the same time. Mathews stock strings are good. I prefer Vapor Trail on mine. And yes, you will want to transfer the string grub over to the new strings.

Thanks, was wondering if there is a special technique to transfer the string grub.
And, I’ve seen different kind of material used for strings by manufacturer. They seem to offer new products and of course more expensive. Give me more feedback if any.

Just pull the grub off your old string. To install it, I used a long skinny cotter pin like a needle. Put it on the loop then slide the grub over it and pull. Or you can bend a paper clip over too :thumbup
