    Hello All,

I just want to make sure I am doing this right before I order my arrows.  I put all my bow info into OT2 and I wasn’t sure of a couple things.  Here’s a pic of my set up below.  I currently shoot the ACC’s .340, and I want to go back to my FMJ.  I haven’t had any problems tuning my ACC’s to my bow with the .340 spine.  OT2 is telling me my .340 spine is weak and should probably go with the .300.  Now its set on Target, when its set on Hunting its even worse.  So I guess my question is from those of you who know and or those who are shooting the new CHILL have you had any problems shooting/tuning your broadheads with their fieldpoints with the .340 spine or .300.  My set up is in the picture, but a 2013 CHILL, 70# DW, 29.5 DL, weight on the string in pic.  If you need anything else please let me know.  Arrows are expensive and I don’t want to make a mistake.  I am just wondering if I really need to drop to the .300 spine?  Anyone who is shooting close to my setup/arrows able to offer any advice.
    Thanks,
    Shawn

I have a Chill set at 70 pounds and 30 inches and was using a 300 spine arrow. I switched to the Fmj lost camo in 340 with excellent results. The tuned great, with field points and broadheads. I won’t be switching back to 300. I used OT 2 as well, said the same thing. I talked to some different people with similar setups as mine and all were using 340’s with great results. I so far have shot a bear with the Fmj 340, complete pass through, no damage to arrow. I will be using them from now on.

    Thanks DanF,

That’s a big help.  As I said, I was shooting the ACC’s with a .340 spine and I had good BH to FP tuning without major adjustments.  I would like to keep the .340 since you cannot get the Lost Camo FMJ in a .300.

    Thanks,
    Shawn

    DanF,

Can I ask what Broaheads you are using?

    Thanks,

Sorry for such a late reply, I am on vacation. That is the whole reason I switched, because I wanted the lost camo FMJ’s. Anyway, to answer your question, I am shooting the QAD Exodus full blade broadheads at 100 grains. They fly great for me and are quiet.

    DanF,

Thanks.  I actually am shooting the exact same broadhead.

    Thanks,
    Shawn
