A friend of mine was hunting over a feeder when a coon intent on committing larceny started to climb the feeder leg, which was made out of oil field tubing (thick, hard steel). He shot at the coon, missed the coon, but hit the pipe. Had to pull the Montec out with vise grips. After a little sharpening, he put it back on the arrow, and killed a deer with the same head later in the weekend. Tough broadhead.

I have had outstanding success with the montech 100 gr. no performance issues to speak of at all,one really great product, one buck 2 years ago shot a 11 yards out from the base of my tree 20 ft up complete pass through and the head hit a large rock about 1 inch under the surface,it deffinetly damaged the tip but the rest of the head was just fine,a little work with the file and a resharpen and it was as good as new and still resides in my quiver today, one tough as nails head. :thumbup

Montecs are awesome IMO. They fly great for me. Pair them with the g5 sharpening tool and you are good to go for a long time. As a matter of fact they seem to get better after sharpening.[/quote:zgzb92gh]
