    Hey have you ordered you safari? If so how do you like it? I got mine and had to wait for ever but I love it. Shoots great…fast and very quiet..unreal actually considering. Plus I went with the easton fmj 300′s which is 11.6gpi (grains per inch) at 29″ is 336.4grain not including vanes or nock . I shoot 100grain slick trick broadhead and it does great.  I haven’t chrono it yet but will try to in a day or two. I have the 85# bow which honestly has wide range for poundage. Not supposed to go below 75 but u can go to 65 easily. I shoot 75# an its pretty stiff. But shoots fast fast an very quiet. Best bow imo. Ill not get another. If I do it’d either be custom or probably anoyher safari lol. They are great. Youll love it just practice practice. Took me a lil while to build up to such heavy pounds. :) what accessories will you get for it?

    I haven’t ordered my Monster Safari yet, but I will as soon as I get out of the field. I’m not sure what I want for poundage, I think I’m going to go with 80lbs, but if I go with 80, I might as well go with 85lb. But I’m going to talk to my pro shop and swhither pros and cons are for shooting high poundage, as far as performance goes. I suspect at 85lbs my arrow will probably bust through the biggest moose or anything you were going to hunt.

    Yeah I would deff. Get the 85lb. An its says it shoots 425grain at 350fps 85lbs. Mine is the 85 but I shoot 75. I’ve yet to chrono mine. I’m also shooting slightly heavier grain. But idc that much bout the grain as much as the kinetic energy n speed. I mean you can kill nearly anything with 70lbs its proven but I like to know I’ve got it if I need it.kinda like shooting a 270 or 300 ultra mag. 270 will work but I like to know I’ve got all the power I want lol. Plus its a sweet bow.its super quiet . It is very expensive though. A lot of people down it because the price and I get that. But its one of kind. U could always swi

    I noticed there is one up for sale on AT classified but it’s a 70 # at 29″.  Not my draw length so I let it go.{#emotions_dlg.mathews_whistle}

    Well I examined the safari very close today…reviews are not what I was hoping…I shot through a chrongraph with 29″ arrow measured from tip to tip and based on my arrow it reads 11.6 gpi (website said 12) but I went with 11.6 added up blazer vanes 6grain a piece plus my 9grain nock an 16grain insert and added 100 grain broadhead is roughly 479.4grain arrow…at 75# was 283fps…the first shot and 281 the 2nd……hard to thank of it being so low but that’s what the chrono read….

    Get a grain scale and get an accurate weight of the arrow for starters.
    I have tried to estimate before….my guess is that your arrow is heavier than you estimated and therefore, your bow is quicker than you think.

    When backed off from 85lbs to 75lbs, what’s your ATA and brace height? When you back off the bow 10+ lbs, you are stretching out the overall length of the bow in multiple dimensions moving away from factory specs.

    Your bow should be shooting a minimum of 345+ IBO equivalent with bow at spec…
