    I’m looking for opinioins on the mathews downforce arrow rest. I’m in the process of setting up my new creed and was thinking about this rest.

    I just bought one, but haven’t set it up yet. So far, just from looking at it and tinkering with it, I can already tell its VERY well built and has some good silencing material on it. I posted a similar thread a while back and heard nothing but good things about it :thumbup

    Are they better performing than a QAD HDX? The concern I have with the downforce is that it connects to the string instead of the cable. I understand the thought but I feel like that could cause problems in the field.

    It’s one of the few dropaways that dont support the arrow behind the shelf so you have all the bh forgiveness your model bow has.

    Are they better performing than a QAD HDX? The concern I have with the downforce is that it connects to the string instead of the cable. I understand the thought but I feel like that could cause problems in the field.

    I’d actually prefer it to the string vs. the cable. And because tension is released off the string when the bow is drawn, it does not have the capability of affecting timing of a bow.
