All the noise on my bow was definitely in the string stop.  The rubber end wasn’t pushed in the whole way. Mathews must of had some temp workers in the factory working,  bow shoots much quieter now but i just need to add some monkey tails since i had new string put on.

Tomorrow AM I will start to tear accessories off my bow to see if any difference is made in noise levels. I am not real concerned at this point for 3D shooting…don’t care if it sounds like a 12ga going off…however, when hunting rolls around I want it quiet!

Aside from the Bowtech Admiral, the Creed is the quietest bow I can remember shooting.  Have set up and paper-tuned a half-dozen or so of them at this point and all of them have been virtually noiseless.  I am sure that you will find the issue to be something outside of the bow’s inherent quietness.

I am also having the same issue. I only have about 30 arrows through it now before I got frustrated and put it down.  The first setup was just a WB and sights because I couldn’t wait to shoot it and my dealer had to order a Mathews downforce left hand. At the first shot it made the loudest “twang” I ever heard. Sounded like a guitar string snapping. Checked everything and it looked ok so kept shooting and the sound was still there. I took the sights off and left the rest and made sure all bolts were tight and shot again and it was still making the noise. Frustrated I waited and put the downforce on and shot it with just the rest and same thing. Took back to dealer and while he was looking the bow over i shot the demo again and it was super quite like I remembered when i ordered mine. The sound is coming from somewhere around the cam or bottom of bow. Dealer says he hears it and calls technical support and they say to check the string and cable to make sure they are lined up in the grooves and he said they looked good to him. Said to shoot some more to see if quitens down.
Dont get me wrong, bow shoots awesome but can’t believe that my Z7 is quitter.
Any thoughts or suggestions I will gladly hear and sorry for the long post.

My Creed has been “stone quiet” from day one.  Dead in the hand also.  Sorry you had problems, but glad you found the resolution.

I found a slight reduction in noise by installing Limb Saver Hoyt alpha shox in the split limb. Just thought they looked a lot less obtrusive compared to the axion and they had to be lighter. Bow was not loud but there was an appreciable change to the sound and feel at the shot.

At the worst, it can’t hurt anything.

At the best it will keep twigs, tall grass, etc. from getting into the yoke and cam harness, or might quiet the bow, or might even save the limbs on a dry fire.

I use the Sims Super Quad Limbsavers on my Monster … should work on the Creed.

Perplexed…my last Creed was loud with accessories…so I stripped them off and shot it…QUIET! I got another Creed last Thursday, and put the same accessories on, one by one, and it is quiet…bottom line, it is a quiet bow, and if there is noise, check for anything loose like others have said! I also think part of the problem was my after market string/cable that I had put on. It is a very nice bow, and I shot it out to 110 yds the other night, and for a short bow I am impressed!

    FYI…..

Testing of popular 2013 models has the Creed coming in as the quietest of them all.

So – to the OP, is it fixed?  Did you find the issue?   Mine has always been quiet, but I did discover one of the String Stop screws was missing.  I’ve also been lead to believe if the string stop isn’t adjusted properly it can make them loud.

I dont own a creed but after shooting my friends i cant believe how quiet those things are, i actually cant stand how loud my new elite is compared to the creed so i will be heading to the local dealer soon to see if he has the one i want in stock, the quietness really sold me.
