Hey guys, it’s been a while. Been busy with work and running the kids. Any way, found time for a week on Manitoba. I shot this bear on the 4th day of my hunt with a half hour of daylight left .
He was shot with my chill using Easton FMJ injexion with Ramcat 100 grain broadheads. He ran 15 yards and piled up . He was dead on his feet , perfect double lung shot . He measured in at 6 feet and weighed approximately 250/300 pounds!!!
Also the walleye fishing was superb and we caught between the 4 of us fishing somewhere in the range of 500 walleye in between sits!! Here is a pic of a partial platter of walls eye fried up for a fish fry of which we had 2!!!!
Congratulations on a good bear! I am going to Ontario in August for my 14th year in a row! I have killed each year that I have gone including one that went 460 pounds. The biggest I have seen taken and put in my Rhino at the camp where I hunt is 623 pounds. Its really a thrill to be 15 yards from bears that big and even at my old age of 67 my heart goes into overdrive! We also walleye fish and those fillets are about as good as it gets.
