I have noticed a low pitched squeal kind of sound coming from my bow when I draw. It’s happening 8th the last half of the draw cycle. It sounds like something rubbing. I thought maybe my rest which is a qad ultra rest but sounds like coming from my cable slide/guard. It doesn’t do it every draw. But it does it often and really bothering me I love my bow and how it shoots. It’s a Mission Blaze. But the sound drives me crazy and can’t imagine it happening in season drawing on a nice deer. Anybody have any ideas?
Assuming the cables are not mis-routed so that they rub, are you sure it is not the arrow dragging on the launcher, which is a common source for the noise you describe. Either replace worn mole skin on the launcher or a few strokes with 0000 steel wool along the arrow shaft will fix the issue.
The cable slide can also make noise due to dirt/string wax or deposited slide material on the cable guard rod. Clean the rod and slide. Also, you might consider a Teflon cable slide when due for replacement.
