While I seeyour points, it’s still just personal speculation unless you can back it up with actual Mathew’s sales data. As far as the forum…while it’s clear that you have issues with it, maybe most do not? True, there’s been allot of old members state that they do not like it and have decided to go esle where – still doesn’t mean that they have quit shooting a Mathewsor do not continue to buy Mathew’s products. I have also seen an influx of many, many new members, oratleast seem to be new judging by the namesin new posts which could mean just the opposite has happened – more forum members, and bow sales are up?

    Seriously?

Really not sure what is meant here, but really don’t need an explanation.

I mean, this place is just the happenin hub of archery excitement isn’t it?

Depends on what your looking for. Keep in mind we are in between hunting seasons and it’s not  unusual for archery/hunting forums to slow down during this time.

Did you not read Neil’s original post about sales there? He is a Mathews dealer right?

I read it, but again just ONE dealers point of view from a different country. While I’ve always enjoyed Neil’s post, I still would find it hard to base ALL Mathews sales just on what he is experiencing. This is where I would have to ask you back….REALLY????

And like I said before, this dead forum won’t kill Mathews, they make too good of a product. It will hurt them a little though. And it just sets a bad example of how not to treat customers. And that’s what each of us forum members are, aren’t we?

Wow, that’s way out there. I’m sure that the last thing Mathews wanted to do is hurt their customer base with doing anything. As far the forum, it’s like anything else when trying to appeal to the masses –  some will like it, some will not. I certainly cannot relate it to “a bad example of how not to treat customers.” Gotta give another REALLY??? here.

I got to hand it to you, you’ve got the coolaid in your veins…

You’ve been here since ’07.  Are you telling me it’s like this every year?  Do we shed 80% of the longtime members every year?  I don’t recall seeing anything like this in my almost 7 years here….  It’s truly sad because I loved this place and the people here, actually because of the people here…

    The end is near....

    Nah, never really liked coolaid

I’ve actually been on here since 04 (before Vince was a Mod and was a postaholic. lol) but changed my screen name in 07 . Shay told me that any compiling data would be lost because of it. Have we really lost 80% of the longtime members? I think your number is probably high, but if you have the data to support it, then ok.
Hopefully you can get your issues worked out and began to start enjoying it again.

OK it has been a long time since i logged in and the only reason i did was because of our friend in DE that is a firefighter to make sure he was OK.

Anyway.. I will say Mathews will most likely not be my next bow.. this forum was and always has been the reason I bought Mathews… I do not like the forum, cannot stand it and honestly will not add it to my list of must go to sites during hunting season because honestly it is terrible, poorly formatted and lacks proper user experience… And for the record, everyone that I know and are friends with, cannot stand this new forum and it is affecting sales in my small group of friends…. They have already changed brands.. but what do I know. I am “new” to Mathews.

i concur, this site is barely even worth checking out anymore. I come by once a week to check my archery team, otherwise it’s not even worth it. they screwed up.
