I’m looking to do an early season public land hunt in Kentucky.  Can someone point me in the right direction of what WMA’s to look into and what WMA’s not to waste my time on.  Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Hunted Land Between the Lakes a couple years back on opening weekend. It wasn’t a bad experience but the temp.’s were running in upper 90′s.
We seen several deer in the fields late in the afternoon but only seen one while hunting. They have numerous horse trails that get utilized quite regular so you would want to avoid those if all possible.

Look at Memorial WMA. It was one of Kentucky’s premier hunting farms a couple years ago and last year was its first year as a WMA.

I have hunted land between the lakes for a couple of years now and seen a few nice bucks but with all the hunters that were there it was hard to find a place that the deer hadn’t been spooked real bad or have another hunter walk in on you and mess up my set !
