I’m getting the rootbeer Mustang set up for outdoor. I’m almost done. All I have to do is take the Torqueless grip off the blueberry Mustang and transfer it to the rootbeer. As I’m sliding it off, I hear a “crack!” and find I’m holding a bow in one hand and half a grip in the other. The “crack!” was the grip splitting.
I have to say, Katie handled it very well. She gave me the “look of death”, stalked to the door, then turned to say, “Well, Mom, looks like you owe me a grip.” So much for my Mother’s Day dinner out. We’ll be baking chicken at home and ordering a new grip for Katie.
Katie obviously likes Blue. I voted for Navajo because it has the red-tones to compliment the Rootbeer and the Blue as an accent. Cocobolo Light it nice but when you get two colors close but not exact, in artist’s terms its called a Near Miss. The yellow in the Autumn just doesn’t go with Rootbeer and I can’t think of Yellow accessories to ‘punch’ it up.
I think Navajo, if you get blue accessories like Sure-Locs custom trims for sights, and blue anodized stabilizer, etc. It could be a knock-out. JMHO
