    While this thread is officially a “free association” discourse, there are, nevertheless, some rules. For example, each post must be internally consistent, express only one major thought, be supported by empirical data where appropriate, and use Canadian spelling. Otherwise, you can’t play.

    P.S. In the interest of fairness to my American friends, I have decided to lower the requirement of “one major thought.” That may be difficult to achieve for many, so let’s go with “a singular thought” instead.

    Okay, I’ll go with The Masters.  Tiger will struggle early and often and lose in a playoff to Dustin Johnson.  He will then get a “major” sponsorship from Johnson & Johnson.{#emotions_dlg.mathews_whistle}

    Yes, that would be a “safe” bet.

    On a completely different note, today we were required to give our end of term powerpoint presentations.  During one of my classmates” talk
    she uttered these words, and I wrote them down exactly as she said and I quote:

    “After the autopsy was completed, there was no hope of recovery for the patient.”

    Although I may be wrong, I believe in Canada the custom (and perhaps even the law) dictates that the autopsy must be conducted after the person is actually dead. However, I do appreciate the fact that with a full caseload, it may be more efficient for pathologists to conduct “anticipatory” autopsies in order to most effectively utilize post-mortem operating rooms. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_nerd}

    Pretty sure you are entitled to “Anticipatory autopsies” under Obamacare. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_whistle}

    If you’ve got an opening in the schedule… bring ‘em in.  That’s the hard headed “stick to business” attitude that makes organizations  successful!  The person is being paid to work, not watch the clock and sip coffee goofing off!

    True. Because evidence (although somewhat anecdotal) indicates that most dying Canadians’ final thought is “I wonder what I’d be thinking now if I was an American?”

    I note that the Dallas Cowboys have outdone themselves again by blowing a 23 point lead.  And Romo will get
    all of the blame on both sides of the ball.  Never mind that Dallas has very little defense.  And who needs to keep
    throwing the ball when you should be eating up some clock?
