I noticed a sound coming from the bow while drawing it. It was the cam hitting the cable. Took it to the shop where I had purchased it and he called and told me that Mathews was sending new limbs, axle and cam for the bow. He couldn’t really tell me what the problem was other than he said one of the limbs could have been a little weak. Has anyone had this happen? We have only seen one limb failure on all of the creed/chill bows we have sold since introduction, which is about 185 of them.black z7 magnum, tommy hogg,qad,b-stingers, vaportrail: blue smoke triumph,sword,hamskae,b-stingers:desert tactical chill R, tommy hogg, limbdriver pro v,ktechSo, what would have caused the cam to rub the cable while drawing the bow? At full draw the cam and cable were touching. Could it be an axle problem? I had read of one bow shop had found that the hole where the axle inserts the limb was too wide among a bunch of other suggestions. Might just remain a mystery. The bow should be done the beginning of this week, we’ll see what happens. You may have had a weak limb or a crack in one, as well as possible cam or axle issue. I can’t say without seeing it, trust your dealer and Mathews to get you back in shape.black z7 magnum, tommy hogg,qad,b-stingers, vaportrail: blue smoke triumph,sword,hamskae,b-stingers:desert tactical chill R, tommy hogg, limbdriver pro v,ktechYeah, that’s what I am going to do. The shop where I had gotten the bow has been very good to me and am very fortunate to have them. When not hunting I work as a heating and air technician so I have to problem solve everyday and it bugs me when I can’t visually find a problem I am trouble shooting. I thought I would see out there if anyone else has had to get these parts changed on their creed. Thanks for the comments fatboy…. Like I said should get it back the beginning of the week. Since it’s been gone, it feels kinda like something is missing like going to work with one boot on and just your sock on the other. Itching to get her back…. Luckily the gun range has kept my mind from visualizing arrows flying!

That’s cause I tell everybody when they get one not to pull the bow back without an arrow on the string.Mathews S2 / Copper John 4-pin / QAD HD LD / Worlds Best Strings / 808 Bowslings / Easton BloodlinesThe only time the bow has been drawn without an arrow is when draw weight has been adjusted. Just got the bow back from the pro shop and got to discuss the situation a little more. It was a bushing issue and said it had worn down prematurely causing the problem. He went on to say that his mathews rep told him that he didn’t want to send just a new axle and bushing and it Not fix the problem so he sent new cam, bushing, axles and limbs and said they wanted to make things right. Thank you to the mathews rep (whoever you are) I appreciate your help. Just got through shooting it and it feels and sounds like it did the day I brought it home. Watch those bushings. Now got to watch some NBA playoffs- GO THUNDER!
Location: MnGood to hear they took care of you. We had the same issue with one of the Creeds, wrong sized top hat bushings. Put the right ones in and the problem was solved.

Joined: 7/15/2013Not limb, but bushing broblems, with my creed I did tune my bow, and find out, that the bushings are worn. The cam is only 3 months old, so this can not be normal. Dealer had one new spare cam, so i am getting it. Now i am litle bit worried, is those bushings going to last that 3 months too. Just hope that the problem is coing to be fixed just by new cam, bearing and bushes. We will see.
PS:Sended email directly to the mathews company too, but after few days, no answer.Should of had the bow fixed by now. How about a follow up report?

Yeah, come back in 3 months on a new thread and let us know how it worked out.
Location: LouisianaI had my creed now for almost a year and it has been in the shop on three separate times to get limds changed cam changed. Now it is back in the shop once again for another limb change because the string is get ate up by the can. I looked at the new creed xs and there is a lot more clearance between the string and can on it. Is it a mistake in the design. I have been a Mathews snob for a long time and keep atleast three on hand for backup . I think it is needless to say I AM NOT HAPPY AT ALL with the Creed. This will be my last time to get it worked on !!!!!!!!
