Please note the following:[/b:26c2v3gq]
- In the 8/24 pic, the deer’s head is up & facing the camera more. This minimizes[/i:26c2v3gq] the perception of the length of the right G2 in contrast to the right G3.
- In the 8/17 pic, the deer’s head is tilted down more and facing the camera less[/i:26c2v3gq]. This causes the G2′s on both sides to appear to “grow” in so much as they look bigger than the G3′s.
- On the 8/24 deer, you may be saying to yourself “That’s only an 8 point”[/i:26c2v3gq]. I’ll ask you to look closely at the outer right edge of what looks like the turn at the base of the left G2. See that extra little bulge? That’s the turn of the REAL left G2 (mostly hidden[/i:26c2v3gq] by the left G3)- what the picture shows mostly is the left[/u:26c2v3gq] G3. We can’t see the left G2 clearly due to the deer’s head position relative to the camera.
So what do you think ??
Joined: 2/11/2008I think they are different look at the throat patch on both deer.
Joined: 8/18/2006Man they look alike…it’d be amazing if they weren’t the same one…twins maybe? They have to be related some how!

Bingo! That is the BIG differentiator. I’ll be tickled if there are actually two different 9′s runnig around these woods in addition to the known 10 and multiple 8′s we have pictures of. This is a very late breaking discovery for us- as over the last 6+ weeks, we thought there was only one 9 pointer.

Have you taken into consideration the difference in head position[/i:1feqhb00] between the deer in the two pictures when comparing the right G2′s? As far as the left G2′s- you can’t even see[/u:1feqhb00] most of it in the 8/17 pic, as it’s mostly hidden by the left G3- so I’m not sure what you’re comparing.
Did you read the three bullits that I asked everyone to “note” prior to submitting your answer? Granted, I’ll be tickled[/i:1feqhb00] if these are two different deer. I just want you to take everything into consideration prior to providing your answer.
Joined: 2/14/2008I have to say if it wasnt for the difference in the patches on the neck and the pics are only a few days apart then i would have said the same buck!! but I have to go with 2 different bucks maybe they are brothers (same gene pool).I say there the same deer. The g2 on his right side are shaped the same and he’s pretty much forked on his left side! the reason you cant see all his patch on his neck is cause of the angle of his head all other markings look the same

Joined: 8/27/2008if your worried about having two bucks that look the same, I can help you out and get rid of one of them. Definitley different deer. I think the white patch gives it away.
