    :^O …Congrads on the deer…without knowing speed, arrow weight, bow weight etc..its hard to say what you have going…

    However at 64.5 ft/lbs it will take down all critters in North America if placed proper…

    For us non engineering types, why does bow weight( i assume it is DW) have and affect? I thought it was just arrow weight and arrow speed. Therefore anything you add to the string would reduce the speed which in turn reduces KE.

    Just trying to get it straight.

    :D Regardless of draw weight, draw length..what you have on string etc…that will dertimine your actual arrow speed…and you have an end result arrow speed..its that arrow speed that is calculated by arrow weight to determine the approx KE of that arrow…

    so you need to know your “end” arrow speed and arrow weight

    I like the calculator ..fast, free and easy…
