I think that deer is a little bigger than most people think, the black and white photo is throwing it off. 10 points, good mass and very good tine length…. I’m guessing he goes P&Y and I’d be happy to send an arrow through him
On another note, judging by all the burrs at the base of the antlers i am guessing at least a 3 year old deer.
I didn’t vote with the answers provided as there are two many variables. My vote would be “it depends”. Location, time left in season, management practices on the land your at that day, public land, private land, season i.e bow or gun.
probably not (and i still have yet to shoot a buck with my bow) while it is a good rack, judging by the antlers (which can be dependent on what part of the country it is in) it looks to be a 3.5 year old deer. give it another year and it would be a heck of a deer. however, if it was an older deer in its declining years, then it would be a great buck to shoot. i tend to prefer to let the younger/smaller bucks grow for another year…but that is jmho…
