    Ok here’s the deal have a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo it has the infinity audio system in  it with the infinty amp. I installed a pioneer stereo and pioneer speakers and used the wiring harness adapter.Right speakers play left speakers don’t checked all wiring between car harness and the adapter to radio all wires are connected correct via color codes, checked multiple times dont know what im missing. Could the amp be bad and only allowing right speakers to work or am I just stupid…..lol

    I’m really only good at blowing speakers up, but maybe the pioneer isn’t compatible with the infinity amp.

    Got the harness and install kit from wally world stereo came from autosports store Brian called support and all they could confirm is that it was the correct harness. Ricky yes we actually turned the balance all the way to the left once we realized right side speakers were working {#emotions_dlg.mathews_tongue} . As for you Larry {#emotions_dlg.mathews_brick_wall} no I’m not deaf in the left ear lol. Gonna try testing the amp tomorrow and if all else fails I guess I can just run new speaker wires to the left front and rear its just weird that it is both left speakers and not just 1 or the other.

    does the fade front to back work properly?  My gut says either wiring harness or head unit issue. I’m guessing the head unit isn’t one that requires an amp like 4V Hi Output model.  Have you tried bypassing the amp and just running some wire from the head unit directly to the speakers as a test?

    In my Jetta I lost all sound out of the rear speakers, factory radio, and I kept thinking amp, some to find out something in the head unit died and wouldn’t send a signal to the back speakers.

    even with the correct harness you still have to do some splicing,especially for memory.

    Thanks for the ideas Brian , we ended up making a pigtail and switching plugs on amp to see if  the right side speakers would go out and they did so the problem was with amp but could have also been a faulty wire on original wiring so………..After having installed the new radio and speakers we ended up replacing amp and running all new speaker wires and everything is working fine now.

    Glad you got it fixed, odd that the amp went out when you replaced the speakers and head unit.  Gotta love electronics {#emotions_dlg.mathews_doah}

    Yeah it was odd we spent a better part of 1 day just going over making sure all the wires we had to plice together on the harness were correct and had good connections and then in the end just figured ti be better to just go new on everything and run new speaker wires through out the vehicle now its just trying to learn how these new fangled technically advanced music boxes work lol.
