Nope. I have a degree in accounting, but my job has me doing little to no accounting work.

Ironically, I was going to go to school for mechanical design/engineering. But, I switched to accounting because I didn’t think I’d be able to get a job in this area (logistically) in mechanical design. About a month ago at work, I was given all the product designing job responsibilities (mechanical products). I thought it was kind of ironic how I am now doing what I wanted to go to school for, but didn’t.

Graduated NCSU with a degree in Civil Engineering, and I’m now a Professional Engineer working with a company that does residential and commercial site design and surveying. Kind of wish I was doing something else though. Staring at this computer drawing maps and plans is getting old these days.

    Me, nope………got a bachelor’s degree in education, and after measure 5 in Oregon, they cut me to 1 class a day…….so I got a different career…….. :D

My wife is an educator and yes, she’s still doing that. I figured that if we were to stay in Oregon, one of us had to have a job that didn’t rely on the economy (well, mine sort of is the opposite, as the economy crashes, my career gets busier #-o )

I have to lower my fees for you Jake. Ten thousand sessions might barely be enough and I would feel guilty charging you full price for all of those. :p :p :p

(Actually, for the record, my Ph.D. is in social and personality psychology, but I have worked in consulting and been a professor for the last 100 years (or so it seems) in the areas of industrial/organizational psychology and organizational behaviour).

Nevertheless Jake……I’m willing to take you on as a patient. Given your apparent problems, I think there’s a new diagnosis that can be added to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. The two of us could become famous.[/color:28gznbsx] :D :D[/quote:28gznbsx]

Jake is already famous in his own mind….. :whistle :whistle :p[/quote:28gznbsx]I am the king of my own mind. ;)[/quote:28gznbsx]

    King or Jester! :p

Speaking of the DSM. Eh, Jeepster any word on the new DSM?

As for me, started Pre-Vet, went to Psych, BA in Psych & lack about 6 hours from a MA in in Clin Psych, with an undeclared minor in Neuropsych(long story).
I work in Social Work(sort of). It is a related field.

It’s been more than 7 years. I lost all my credits. ](*,)
To tell you the truth, I’m not sure I want to sit in an office for 8-10 hours a day. I do a lot of traveling & pretty much set my daily itinerary.

Jahunter, I bet you made a bundle with the drop in the Euro recently. :thumbup

    Yes and yes..

Got a Bachelor degree in Film with a minor in Music industry. Been at a film equipment rental house for 13 years, as well as doing some freelance film set technician work on the side.

Doesn’t pay all that much but it beats working for a living… ;)
