After testing the Creed I noticed the Idler lean is a bit different that previous Mathews offerings. I don’t know if this is due to the 5″ idler wheel, the split limbs or a combination of both. I’m thinking it’s not the riser, as every grid type riser since the Z7 still has the idler tracking true with the cam with the 1/8″ measurement at the nocking point. When this is set at that measurement with the Creed, I see this alignment with the laser:

As you can see, the string is tracking outside of the groove. Not bad by any means but it isn’t what it should be.

When The Idler is set with a gap of 1/16″, this is the end result:

This is how the bow should be set up and tracking at full draw. I have made the appropriate notation and correction to the tuning thread in the FAQ section.

NOTE…..these pics were taken with the bow on a draw machine.

    Vince,
I looked for your idler post (that had laser instructions) over in the tech area and couldn’t find it. Sorry if I’ve overlooked it but could you describe where the laser should be hitting on the cam track in the picture above? Dead center or on bowhand side?

Up to now I’ve just been tuning with the gap at nock point.
    Thanks for information.

Vince, I’ve been following your tech tips and information for awhile now, and on Saturday, I ordered the Creed! Looking forward to this bow.

If you wouldn’t mind, what is exactly and the location of the gap and how can I measure it?

    Thanks in advance!
