After my lay off of 11 years I bought my first bow again it was a 2010 Reezen 6.5 I was unaware at the the time that IBO speed was basically a speed that the consumer could not achieve. Moving forward I do understand that speed is not nessecary to take most big game in the US. I do however think that hunting is about the individual and how they choose to hunt there game. Whether its a rifle muzzleloader or a bow. Or whether you like a smooth draw or aggressive, kinetic energy or lighter arrows. It just about choice and we as the consumer have our opinions. Now my point and I don’t hold any loyalties to any one specific company because I just love being a bowhunter and well I’m not getting paid for it but I’m a Mathews fan and customer for life. It’s just that they haven’t made a bow In my opinion that can keep up with my Omen, and I wish they would because I’ve shot the new Chill and I love it I just know when it comes to speed that it won’t keep up. So Dear Mr. McPherson please make the next Monster bow faster IBO wise then the Omen Max so I can give you more of my money. Your truly dedicated bowhunter.

Mathews McPherson makes the MR-5, which is a more reasonable comparison to your PSE Omen Max than the Chill.

Specs on the MR-5 and Omen Max are almost identical, IBO within a few fps, ATA within fractions of an inch, Brace Height within 1/2″, MSRP within $50, etc.
