    Ok… I won’t be looking at those…  If you like them, use them.

    Interesting but I’m going to pass. My Helium passed my wife’s test. From 10 yards downrange she said he couldn’t hear the bow, just the impact of the arrow 20 yards down range and trust me – she has the ears of a doe.

    If that’s her picture, she has the antlers of a buck! {#emotions_dlg.mathews_tongue}

    That was a terribly flawed demo on the effectiveness of the wire wrap to silence riser vibration. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_brick_wall}

    The first riser makes full contact with the surface, the wire-wrapped riser did not, it was partially cushioned by the wire wrap itself.

    A far better test would have been to suspend the riser and strike it with a hammer, like a tuning fork. Then if there were any vibration dampening, it would clearly and indisputably be because of the wire wrap. For any dampening material to be effective it has to be in good contact/transfer with the vibration wave, which is not evident in the wire wrap installation.

    As far as testing a Mathews riser, it should be done with the HD/HS installed.

    Personally, because the wire wrapped riser also had a ringing sound, although less pronounced, I consider whatever dampening there was to be less than fully effective. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_peace}

    Couldn’t agree with gj more, of course if dropped on rubber it’s going to dampen more. To each their own, if you feel more confident with it, then I say go with it. I just don’t see much scientific evidence in the video.  Shoot straight!

    David I think thats a good looking bow, and with the barb wires looks very intimidating. I love how people get so scientific about something they haven’t even tried. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.{#emotions_dlg.mathews_monster_blue}

    Thanks Carlos,  if nothing else,  it adds character and more break up camo pattern ,  like a vine growing on a limb of a tree.  Besides ,  the extra rubber won’t hurt anything,  who knows,  maybe it really helps.  Someone should do a good test on it like GJ archer suggested in an above statement about it.

    Interesting…..
    I hope you can do a review style post after you’ve had these for awhile. The video didnt sell me. There is so much “stuff” out there to add onto our bows and accessories. Some are nothing more than wasted dollars. I appreciate the Tech in Mathews bows now to keep them quiet. I hessitate to put anything else on my bow that wont make a big differance. Except for a “custom look”, I dont see these doing that….. IMHO
    I’d be interested in knowing how they hold up during a season…

    Thanks for sharing.

    Look at the video critically and tell me how the above critique by GJ was off?  I don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see the “Test” that the owner of the product is a flawed test.  If I wrap the whole riser in bubble wrap and drop it on a hard floor it will be really quiet when it hits… it doesn’t mean that it will dampen the vibration caused by shooting an arrow out of it.  Two different animals… if you look critically at the test that they put up, you can see the bias.  He’s trying to sell the dang stuff, so I’d expect him to put his product in a good light, but it doesn’t mean it is wrong to point out the sales gimmick…

    Since Ungulates see in the Blue-Yellow spectrum with Green being in the middle, I have reservations about putting a Flo Green material on the bow. Just another overly-scientific, or common sense observation {#emotions_dlg.mathews_peace}

    Is red/orange or brown wire barbed silencers available?

    I also added the thick rubber chunk silencers between the split limbs. I really like my Creed! mathews bows are the very best. I would like to get a SKB bow case, a lone wolf climber, and a deer cart one day! but I cannot get all that stuff over night. It’s so cold in Alabama. I don’t like that. If mathews made a 33 inch ata single cam bow, with a 7 inch brace height, that got 345 IBO, and was smooth, And light, with no hand shock, I would be very excited. But I am loving my creed. I will post a pic updated soon.
