    The great thing about all the accessories available these days is that you can do with your bow anything you like. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_up}

    That’s a personal touch. Does the barbed wire do anything noticeable to it?

    Frank at the bow shop said there is a video on youtube demenstrating how they work by dropping a riser before and after with them on and off,  I haven’t checked though.  Why don’t they dip the riser in a rubber coating?  I got a new shirt.

    I looked for the youtube video… I didn’t see anything.  All I saw was a video on a lady selling green plastic barbed wire bracelets… Maybe you can post up a link.

    I I like how the demonstration of the product is conducted. One wrapped with the “silencer” and the other not. Both dropped on the floor. The warped riser makes less noise because the “silencer” keeps the riser from bouncing after it hits the ground like the non wrapped riser. Seems like just another item to try and get people to blow money on.

    Hmmm…I’m thinking we could classify arrow wraps, colored dampers, matching stabilizers and much more the exact same way. I can’t at all speak to the efficacy of the barbed wire thing, and it’s clearly not my style, but I first came across them at a local shop not too far from me about a month ago where the owner told me that in just a week they had been selling like hotcakes.

    To each his own. If people like they ‘em, more power to ‘em. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_up}

    Okay that’s good demonstration on how the barbed wire should work. Reminds me of two other demonstration I’ve seen with risers. One was the demo the Mathews dealers did testing with two of their risers, one with a Harmonic Dampener and with out a HD. There was a huge difference in the noise factor between the two risers. Now if I shot another bow with out the  HD and HS I’d consider this accessory. I think the most noise is in the string and cables so attention to making those quiet are just as important.
