I had a sinus surgery done so it’s cut my season pretty bad. I can’t go on a turkey hunt but, (God willing), I’ll be in tip top shape for bear. Gotta’ get those new episodes for Mathews TV! I’m layed up a while so I thought I’d check in and hear about YOUR bow hunts. Tell me some good ones!
Have a safe season,
DaveDave Watson Mathews TVHey Dave hope you are up and on your feet and hunting in no time!!! As for me, I have a Spring Bear hunt in Manitoba scheduled for the end of May. After that, I have a rut hunt in November in Kansas. Hope to put a big boy down on that one!!!
Joined: 6/21/2007Got to do this last Saturday here in Virginia on youth day. My 10yo son (left) wanted one of his buddies on his baseball team to go with him. I told him that is fine and dandy with me….but it would mean his buddy gets to shoot first. He was cool with that, which I was very proud of him for that, and his buddy busted a big tom about 8:00am! Our regular opener is tomorrow, and I’ll be out with my 12yo daughter. I can’t wait! Hope you get back on your feet soon, and God bless!

He came in from behind the blind spitting and drumming just in time to stop me from dozing off into dreamland! I have more tags and plenty of arrows for the later seasons here in WI. Those Turkeys will be in trouble.Love the snow covered ground of those WI “Spring” turkey hunts. You get good footage, Duane? Send it to me.

Joined: 12/8/2009Footage is ok. Beggars can’t be choosers in conditionsthat we are having here in WI this spring. 3 more inches of snow this morning. By this time last year I had mowed the lawn 3 times. The later seasons in May should be cranking here in WI!Do to my 25th anniversary I wasn’t able to visit a forum member in Tennessee for a little hunting. Now with a death in the family Kentucky is out and Indiana doesn’t start till the 24th. So far not so good!Ohio season is in on the 4/22 but I have striper fishing on for later on that week and a 6′ privacy fence to start. Life is good. I just wish I had a bear hunt in late May or early June planned.
Location: OhioDave, I hope you have a complete and quick recovery. We have a couple of weeks to go til ugly-bird season.
I’m still recovering from shoulder surgery and won’t be able to use a bow this year.
Surgeon said I can use shotgun but I’m wondering if that’s a good idea with a turkey load. Family Dr. told me this morning I should not be in the woods unless I’m on a good trail and not to use my arms to help up hills etc LOL.
We’ll see how things are in a couple of weeks.
Best wishes and complete recovery soon
