Thanks alot!
thanks so much that is really helpful and I will definetly refer back to this when replacing gripsthanks this helped me to replace my gripGreat post! Be putting a new one on shortly.got my grip off. Have a Tronjo to put on. It fits really tight now w/out any glue. I barely got it back off. Should I sand it to fit a little looser or leave it tight?excellent post. Never had a problem. ThanksTrying this today… who else has done it?Oopps… thought this was the thread about sanding down your Mathews grip.
I just took the grip off my dxt and to remove the glue I use zippo lighter fluid. It worked great. It didnt remove any of the camo dip.

to the forum…Glad it worked …however lots of harsh chemicals will work…but are not recommended and may void some Warranty’s…Neil
Thank you, Neil. I have learned a lot from you and your posts thank you for all the information. At first I thought I grabbed the goo be gone and then realized it was zippo lighter fluid. When I had linoleum floors put in my house thats what the guy said to use to get the glue off the seams when the glue was dry. It worked good for that and also for the glue on the grip. I was weary though. Mosquito spray on your hands will take the camo off of a bow. Not that I wanted it to.FYIWhen I put my custom grip on, I didnt replace the adhesive. Just popped off old one using hairdryer technique and then popped on new one, heated handle and then tied up tight. No probs.
I found that WD-40 will also remove the sticky stuff very effectively. Worked like a charm when i took the factory installed wraps off my CX 3D Selects.has anyone the trid the new death grip. will it really workThank you for the post and pictures. followed your thread and removed the grip on my M-7. simple… also put the fccus on and am very pleased with the swap.
