Awesome demo , I’ll save it.I wanted to take my grip off and shave it down, but I was scared to death to try it. This great info helped greatly. Thanks!
It's not how far you shoot, but how close you get. Thanks Scottyluck I just put my new Tronjo grip on and I followed your instructions.Very easy…….Great Info Scottyluck!I saved a copy for some future date when I might want to play with a new grip for the XT. Right now I’m just trying to get the basics taken care of.
Thanks Again.
Switchback XT (why change from perfection?)
I was a bozo and didnt read this when i took it off and guess what I cracked my grip into two pieces. Luckily I have a Tronjo grip on the wayHi all! I’d just like to tell everyone that I recently installed a new Torqueless Grip on my OB. WOW!! What a difference it made in my shooiing. I couldn’t have been more pleased…..then for some reason the nose cracked and fell off. I was bewildered , to say the least. I immediately emailed Dave at Torqueless and he responded immediately. I offered to send it back to him or super glue it. He said that I could try that but should use a wood type glue instead……however what made my day was that he was going to send me a brand new one at no charge right away….NO Questions Asked!!!! WOW!! What service and prompt response. For those of you looking for a better grip setup, please give Dave at Torqueless.com a try…..You’ll be so glad that you did.
Nice illustration. That format works slick. Replaced my factory XT grip with a Hydrapress special last night. Excited to shoot this XT just recieved it last night.
that was easy, now I just need to wait till my grip comes in the next couple days.
Thanks for the walk through
Awesome post…great pictures to show exactly what you mean. Leaves no guess work! All We Do Is SELFILMEDI took mine off last week no problems. When Mathews installed my stock grip on my XT, they used so little of the weather strip glue, that my grip was ready to nearly fall off. I never even used the hair dryer it was so loose. Simply pushed at the bottom and it popped off.Got a new Torqueless grip in Desert Sand on the bow now. So much nicer.
Thanks for this very informative post! It help alot.
If I may make a suggestion, anyone wanting to remove the glue easier should check out “goo Gone” It worked very well, did not lift the camo and wiped off the glue very easily after soaking for just 1 mintue.
Here is a shot of the clean bow.

and a shot of the product, I also found a small tube of the adhesive recomended by Scottyluck. Pictured below.

The finished product.
