    When I try to unscrew the factory screw for the string stop, which screws into the riser there is a insert that unscrews rather than the silver adapter.  How do you get the screw out of the insert?

    This doesn’t exactly answer you question but, you don’t need to take that stud out, do you? I’m pretty sure the ksb1 goes on that stud, even if they ship another with it. Or is the new stud larger in diameter? Pretty sure the chill r uses the same stud as the heli m uses, which the ksb fit on with no problem, as I remember.

    I will check again tomorrow  but I think the new one is larger than the original.

    The KSB-1 standard o.d. is larger than the Mathews’ Lite.

    Tip from a high volume, respected Mathews dealer: Use Locktite 290 (Green) on the insert, reinstall on the riser, and let it cure overnite, then remove the ChillR dead end adapter.

    If anyone has questions about what adapter to use on their bow, contact Kerry Verran at http://www.ktechdesigns.com/contact.htm and he will help you out.

    Same person. I just repeated the info because most of the forum never gets the good tech tips.

    You need to “get’er done” and post so the forum knows how it turns out.{#emotions_dlg.mathews_peace}
