arrows that you got Alan, I think I may get 200fps out of them, but man
would that be awesome. I shoot a 400gr arrow at 260fps, and thats plenty
fast for me.

Joined: 3/24/2005Does not make a bit of difference to me, with my ape arms it is very easy to get over 300fps, but the animal that I shoot with my bow cannot tell the difference.

Im with ya big guy…. I dont care at all… As long as I get accuracy and good penetration speed dont matter a bit to me…

Joined: 8/6/2004I shoot target, so speed is not all that important. Accuracy counts more.
Joined: 4/11/2008ive been shooting over 300fps since jennings came out with the carbon express . no reason to change now . but it sure would make my job alot easier if my customers didnt want to shoot over 280 .

To many years of shooting what the guys called a rainbow poker (slow bows), and killing more deer than the guys with new and faster bows.
The only reason why I shoot a bow that is faster than my old Hoyts and Whitetailhunters is that I wanted a Mathews and they are better built than the bows of when I first started 30 years ago.
My dad god rest his soul always told me (its not about speed ! Its about practice and being able to consistantly hit your mark every single time. Its about knowing your limitations and capitalizing on them, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE.)
IMO speed is over rated. But thats my $.02 worth
Joined: 9/13/2005I fell into the “need for speed” group a few years back, but returned quickly to Mathews and enjoy a smooth, forgiving bow that is whisper quiet!
Location: PennsylvaniaNever did pay much attention to it, neither did the critters I hunted, I believe.speed nah ,:thumbup-}}}--------------------> shooting Helim and now switchy is retire hangin on the wall!
