I’m thinking about getting a press and doing all my own work on my bow. It’s not that I don’t trust the guy that does the work on my bow, but I just like to be able to make the adjustments myself without having to drive an hour to let him do it. How many of you already do you own work?

I do 95 percent of my own stuff, and most of my friends. I’ve pretty much got a shop set up in my work shop. I’ve got a press, vise, fletchers, saw, scales, chrono, paper tuning stand, etc. all set up. I do find myself tearing down stuff just to put it back together alot. Things I will do to stay out of the house :D

Yep! Bought a press about 6 years ago and have been doing all of my own work since, plus a number of other people’s bows, too. It’s fun AND I always know exactly what’s been done to my bow!
