OK guys and gals, I planted a new food plot and in the not so perfect location in the middle of a firebreak so here goes, Ive got a ton of pics of some good bucks and this one would earn the name of Hollywood since he has shown himself so much. But not when I was there lol, he would pic his times opposite of when I hunted, yesterday afternoon a front moved in droppin the tems from hot to the perfect 40s to 70s, I seen 5 doe come in to a spot that I have been oterwise skunked while sitting, yesterday the luck changed so to speak as 5 doe came in and Hollywood came short after. I settled the pin at 25 yds and as i released, he took a step. I was sick as I watched my arrow hit back, and the buck dissapear in the timber, I got down at dark and left the property and replayed my self video knowing that I had hit him way back. I slipped in this morning and after a short blood trail, found him within 100 yds of the shot, I am not proud of the shot or do I condone it, but what I did is stick with it and found him thankfully. Its a reality check when you make a bad shot and thankfully I was able to recover him. Finally, a bad hit other than tv actually pays off and educated me even more.Oh and as a 9 pt, 14 pts for team 7

Location: Upstate NYI know you’ve been following Hollywood for quite some time. Congrats! Other than making a bad shot, (and most of us have done it) you did everything right. That doesn’t happen by accident.

IMO nothing is cooler in hunting than getting the one you’re after, especially when you work for it setting it up with plots… Congrats and great job sticking with him and your perfect decision in trailing the next day – Nice Buck for sure!!! Man that ridge looks good!My Buck killing skills are sick – too bad there not contagious!!! Big Bucks are easy - That's why I let them go and shoot little young ones :)Here are a few pics thanks for the kind words, i am very thankful to have found him, ive seen it go the other way several times where it doesnt work out.I have watched him from velvet up to this point, this is shortly after planting the food plot, the ridge in the harvest pic is straight across this pic, my stand is right on the edge across this pic
