Ok I finally put to bed my old ZMax that has served me well and upgraded to a Heli. Setting up the bow I paper and then walk back set up. Problem is the arrow sits an inch from the riser and above the rest mounting hole. I am thinking there must be another issue like cam lean or something. I did check and correct fletch clearance issues and I have checked and confirmed the spine on my arrows using the TAP program. I am shooting a Helim 29″ draw at 65 lbs maxed with QAD Ultra HDX and Easton Carbon Injexion 330′s. I use a Hardcore release aid and I am right handed. Any tips would be much appreciated

others will chime in who are more technical than i but it sounds like you need to lower both your rest and nock to get center of berger hole. concerning your 1″ center shot, it sounds like you have idler lean, did you put the proper twists in your yoke per Neil’s guide?

I am not sure I am comfortable doing that worried I’ll mess something up worse. Also my old bow press will not work on the Helim so I guess I will have to take it to the dealer. Thanks for the input. I think I will print the guide and bring it with me.

I just put the bow in a vice and once level it looks like the cam leans left to right (top to bottom from behind). I need to adjust but the ATA and brace height are dead on so I don’t want to mess those up at all.

:D Are you talking cam lean/limb twist or idler wheel lean…two complete issues…

The idler will look like its leaning when bow is at rest .[due to cable guard ]..to check it has to be looked at from behind at full draw…the string should run straight with the idler…

#-o Sorry I meant idler wheel is leaning like this from behind. I will have a buddy check it at full draw.

Question to bring the arrow/rest back in toward the riser closer to recommended what do I twist and which side?

Ok I had someone look at the idler when at full draw and the string comes off early and to the outside for me a right hander from left to right like this So it sounds like I need to put a couple twists on the right side of the yoke and take a couple off the left?

not sure what “comes off early” is describing but in a nut shell…yes, you want to add some twists to the rh yoke, you may or may not need to remove some from the left…it depends on how many twists are there now. once your lean is corrected you can work on your ata, center shot and nock height.

    :D :D :D
I put the rest back to 13″/16″ and arrow center of berger hole then put two twists in the right yoke. I checked ATA dead on at 30″ and BH at 7″.
Perfect. Thanks to everyone for your help and great tuning tips from Neil
