Doesn’t surprise me one bit. The local gun shop by me normally has 75-100 pistols in stock at any given time. I went in on Saturday and they were down to 8. They were pretty thin on Rifles and shotguns also. They didn’t have any AR’s in stock and wouldn’t be ordering any more due to the 3 week wait to complete a background check. As far as ammo goes, all they had was some .22 and low brass shotgun shells. They have been getting in pallets of ammo on Tuesday’s and selling out by Saturday. This is no big gun shop either, just a small mom and pop shop.

It’s wild. I just sold one of my ARs for over 2x what I paid for it – and the guy was happy as can be.

When I was at the shop Saturday, a guy brought in a Stag Arms Model 2. He said when he bought it new it was $800. The employee offered him $1300 cash for it but the guy ended up doing a straight trade for a Benelli Super Vinci. Not a bad deal, paid $800 for a gun then traded it for a $1899 MSRP shotgun.

The local gun shop here hes just a few handguns and several long guns. Sold his last AR about 2 weeks ago for $2000, the guy never never blinked an eye at the price! His .223 ammo was gone till a friend sold the shop 2 cases of it. Walmart sells all there ammo as soon as it get on the shelf!

I wish my dad or myself had some AR’s because now is the time to cash in if you no longer want them or have extra’s. I was actually just talking to my dad today and he want’s to buy an AR before a ban or something else passes. He told me he called every gun shop within a 20 mile radius and all were sold out. The one shop he happened to call said that they had a shipment coming today but there were already close to 20 guys in the parking lot waiting for the truck. Needless to say he didn’t end up going. Who knows if the dealer even had 20 guns coming.
