    good morning all,
I am thinking of getting a new gps and would like your thoughts. I now have a garmin, but am open to any recommendations. I would like to keep it under $400.  I would mostly use it for tracking when you have your head down looking for blood and find the animal and want the quickest way out.

I’ve got an older Garmin that I use for more serious GPS work.  What I’ve used (because I have it with me all the time, is the Trimble GPS Hunt app for my smart phone…  I hunt in an area where I get cell service so that works for me and does well enough.

On an entirely different note… why is this a sticky?

Which Garmin model do you have?  I have the GPSMAP62S and it’s a pretty sweet GPS for around $350… The Birdseye Satellite Imagery is awesome for hunting.
