It’s crazy some people put their use of pot over being able to support themselves.   The people who went there to use pot for medical reasons I can respect that. The people who leach off of others just to be able to smoke weed legally I cannot.

Personally this POT legalization in CO is the right thing and these other States that legalizing for medical reason should push for general and over all legal possession and use of it. Based on all the other statistic coming from the one year studies there it has done more positive than negative. If the Feds were at all smart they would start legalization of it before the next elections.

With all due respect, I disagree.  Lets hear your argument for it.

Marianna or POT is classified as “A” level drug and is on the same level of punishment as Heroin. The law hands out very stiff sentences in prison for very small amounts and that is crazy. There are too many lives totally changed for the worst over this seemingly harmless drug. With legalization it offers better control of it to some extent and obviously cuts out the black market almost totally. Legalization does not mean drug testing for work is going to be eliminated off the list because it won’t just like alcohol was not removed. Prohibition just does not work and war against this drug never has or will be over till the Government wakes up and decides it needs another approach. Meanwhile you and I pay higher taxes to pay for the legal fees, police control and prison housing for these harmless criminals. It’s time we progress and do something smart and quit running around the same bush trying to stop this drug. And to me it’s less than alcohol in what damage it does to one self.

What sort of evidence would you need to see before you changed your mind.? The evidence is coming in, and I’m sure more will follow.

Seems like you are concerned more with budgets than with what may be best for your neighbor.
