You guys are making me feel a lot better about heading back to hunt, the thing that is hard is telling them why I am leaving since none of them hunt and understand the rush I get from it. [-(

I absolutely love the sport, but sometimes I feel like I am missing out by not hanging out with them more often. [=}=][/quote:d0p97vgl]

Your missing out on nothing. I grew up “missing out” and I am glad I did, I never partied, I never got into trouble. Now people finally grew up, and seen the world outside of partying, and see the side I have been looking at for a long while. Its all about maturity. It may be true you only go to College once, but College is not about partying, it is about furthering an education, and striving for a goal. It is a section in life where you get the Freedom to make real decisions, with or without guidance, and those decisions are not the pathetic ones like this, your future life depends on them.

Set YOUR priorities, and don’t let others set them for you; independence is one of the greatest human characteristics! [=}=][/quote:d0p97vgl]Jeff, at 19 I still consider you wet behind the ears. Life comes at you soon enough, do not get in a rut to soon. I am not saying party daylight to dark, but I am also not saying to live in the woods right now either. A Full time career, a Wife, kids, PTA, little league are all good things that You have to look forward to. So,take advantage of the tailgate parties and the 170 class bucks while you can, because they will not look as exciting as watching you 5 year old kid in their 1st play at school.

Hunt 1st part 2nd. You have 9 months out of the year to party, this is too good of a time to be out in the woods.

I am perhaps the only person of my age that is looking forward to the future. I never thought of being zealous about my career and lifestyle as a bad thing. I hung out with friends and had a good time, but I had my priorities set straight. I don’t care what life throws at me, I find most anything enjoyable,; watching a kid of mine in a play would be a wonderful experience!

    Anyways, back to topic! [=}=]

Parties are a dime a dozen and can be made in a matter of minutes… Hunting on the otherhand has limits, time limits, bag limits, weather limits, etc….. You can party anytime. Get in the woods!!!!

There’s always another party but deer season only lasts so long. Get out and hunt. After you bag that 170″ you can party all you want :thumbup

You will remember a 140 or 170 class buck the rest of your life. How long will you remember a single party?

That’s funny because I am in the same situation. Like you most of my friends at school don’t hunt. I am not big on parties cause they’re all the same and there will be plenty more.
