Well this friday there is a Holloween party here (at school) that I told my roomates a while back that I would go to, but I have been seeing a lot of nice bucks on the move lately including one 140″ 10 and a 170+ 16 at the land I hunt at home (2hrs away). This Friday we have no classes so I could leave Thursday and hunt Friday am/pm, Saturday am/pm, Sunday am/pm, and Monday am… If I stayed for the party I would only hunt Saturday pm through Monday am.

It’s really tough becasue my odds of getting a deer are probley pretty good if I hunt hard all week due to weather and the rut aproaching, also the orange army hits the woods next weekend as well and thigs will change big time!

    What would you do?

I am leaning towards going hunting but I know my roomates will prolly be ******. ](*,)

    Gotta hunt.

Parties happen all the time, the chance to drop string on a 170 class deer is a once in a lifetime deal for most.

If I had been seeing the bucks on the move you’re seeing, I wouldn’t even be at school, much less partying. [=}=]

You will remember a 140 or 170 class buck the rest of your life. How long will you remember a single party?

Screw the party, there will be plenty more. Chances at a big buck don’t always show themselves! [=}=]

You guys are making me feel a lot better about heading back to hunt, the thing that is hard is telling them why I am leaving since none of them hunt and understand the rush I get from it. [-(

I absolutely love the sport, but sometimes I feel like I am missing out by not hanging out with them more often. [=}=]

Don’t feel bad. I was in your shoes. Not many of my friends hunted and they never could understand why I didn’t hang out with them more. Now that I look back on it, I don’t regret it one bit. Hunting is a way of life and those that don’t do it, will never understand it.

Your missing out on nothing. I grew up “missing out” and I am glad I did, I never partied, I never got into trouble. Now people finally grew up, and seen the world outside of partying, and see the side I have been looking at for a long while. Its all about maturity. It may be true you only go to College once, but College is not about partying, it is about furthering an education, and striving for a goal. It is a section in life where you get the Freedom to make real decisions, with or without guidance, and those decisions are not the pathetic ones like this, your future life depends on them.

Set YOUR priorities, and don’t let others set them for you; independence is one of the greatest human characteristics! [=}=]
