Turf toe can be serious… remember Deion Sanders- perhaps the best shutdown corner to ever play the game? His career was haulted because of turf toe… it is more serious than people think…

now as far as “only” 11 this is the first time I have said how much or who I think will win… and I was only joking… stated I won’t make my pick until next week… when I see whose out for Greenbay and the status of Crayton and Henry… [=}=]

    :^O :^O :^O :^O :^O

Thats like saying Darryl Strawberry was the best player in the MLB ever…

Deion was nothing but a showboater, he was good but very annoying, and is nowhere near the BEST!

I like that the Pack are the underdog, they’re underestimated; because they don’t have all the big names like Dallas, but let me tell you, its the team that wins the games! :thumbup[/quote:2w4299hk]

Sanders was the best to ever dawn a helment at that position and it`s nothing short of moronic to say otherwise. Yes he was an unlikable character but that has nothing to do with talent. I believe if you took a coaches poll on who was the best,(not what team player they liked best) Sanders would be the overwhelming favorite. [=}=][/quote:2w4299hk]

Umm, Rod Woodson would like a word with you. Champ Bailey, too, for that matter. Deion is arguably the best COVER corner of all time. But when the run would come to his side he’d start looking for cover immediately. He’d be scared to tackle a fourth grader in a wheelchair if he were driving a high-speed bulldozer. Teams would run to his side and he’d barely make it back onto the field for the next play because he ran over behind the bench to curl up and cry. Sorry, but you can’t be the “best of all time” at anything when you’re a complete and utter failure at half of what constitutes your job description. When coordinators were planning for Sanders they said “we’re NEVER going to throw to that side, but we’re ALWAYS going to run to that side.” When they gameplanned for Woodson they just completely gave up on his side of the field.

I met Rod Woodson 6 times in my life… at his camp… from his own mouth Deion Sanders WAS the best corner to ever play the game…. I asked him myself… and in fact the other 2-3 players with him said the same thing….

Just a little more on Sanders… as I stated in one of my camps I asked Rod who he thought was the best corner ever (during one of his talks about covering wide receivers) he stated it was Deion Sanders… the fact that Deion was a poor tackler- or even a bad tackler did not change his opinion, my opinion, any other NFL coachs opinions… as a cornerback Deion’s main priority was to stop the pass… stop the run second… He was the BEST to ever play the pass and every team feared him… and every cornerback in the league respected the man and many if not all still do… The fact that he didn’t fare well against the run isn’t important…. that is what they make safeties for… that is what the linebackers are for… now if he was a safety that would be different in my opinion about the best to ever play…
After all… isn’t a defensive player supposed to stop both run and pass? Would you judge Dwight Freeney and say he sucks because he can’t cover a wide receiver to save his life? No he is still one of the best today at his position… and so was Sanders- who also had the added bonus of being the Devin Hester of his time… [=}=]

I should change my statement to Sanders was the best cover corner to dawn the helment. #-o  [=}=] I really don`t think the run defense was as bad as you interpret it to be. I believe he was on a defense ranked near the top of the league. If it were so easy to run on him I believe everyone would of beat them by it. [=}=]

I said nothing about being great at everything, I should of said cover corner. #-o I didn`t like Sanders the person, no more than I like Owens, Jerry Jones personalities. I like the Cowboys as a team and that will never change. I don`t get into the he`s the best in sports most of the time, but in the corner position there is no arguably needed in the title of best.(cover corner) [=}=]

I have to admit I’m a huge Cowboys fan and always have been. I can’t wait for the game tomorrow. I think it will be a heck of a game! While I’m not a Green Bay fan, I do respect the crap out of Favre and appreciate the way he plays the game. I hope Romo doesn’t get “starstruck” playing against him, which is definitely possible. Both teams have played great this year. Sure, Dallas won a couple games where they almost beat themselves but they pulled them out. It says something about this team. There is something special about this team. It should be a heck of a game and I can’t wait!
    Go Cowboys!

    PS…Dallas 34 Green Bay 28 :D
