    Is there a reason why this forum is so slow?  I’m on a bunch of other forums and none are even remotely as slow as this one.  What causes this?

    Could it be a browser issue, Larry? I’m running Safari on my Mac and I really don’t typically sense much of a lag. Maybe it’s something flash related with all the rollover menus that have graphics in them? Just speculating.

    I’m at 2.90 mbps on download with my dsl line.  I just checked it.  When I surf arfcom, AT, Tradgand, Campfire, etc…  They all load and switch fast.  No wait.  When I click on the bookmark for here, I have to wait for it to load.  Then click a forum and wait for it to load.  Make a post and sit and wait sometimes up to 10 seconds for it to load.  I don’t have this problem anywhere else.  So it’s not my computer.  If it’s the browser, why would they go with something not compatible?

    I played around with it a bit. I have a blazing fast connection and typically download at about 25Mbps. Though I don’t notice anything excruciatingly slow, there is definitely a longer hesitation between selecting a link and the page loading than most other pages I visit. I don’t know if it’s the design of the master template that pulls different images into the menus, or if it’s a change in servers or what, but it does not appear to be as responsive as before. {#emotions_dlg.typotux}

    I notice that even the smileys seem to take longer to load the most sites as well. Who knows. I’ve pretty much given up any hope that things are continuing to improve. I enjoy the place, so I endure it. Unfortunately, many seem to have chosen a different option. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_crying}

    I see that their entire site is slow and kinda jumpy.  Must be the general format.  I think if I was paying for something like this, I would be pretty upset at the performance…
