    It’s already been decided. He’s making a 34″ Creed. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_up}Just hope he sells them to you guys as well. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_liar}{#emotions_dlg.mathews_laughing}

    {#emotions_dlg.mathews_laughing} The new bows for this year were designed two years ago. {#emotions_dlg.misc_jump_fire_green}

       i know, i’ve told them this before, they just won’t believe it. they also don’t believe that the new bows are already being shot by the prostaff in the field. regardless, what we do know is that whatever he releases ,will sell by the boat load.

    Now that’s the truth. If you watch the shows now most of the Pro Hunting staff are using the Creed during last seasons hunting and the bow was introduced after several filmed early season bow kills. {#emotions_dlg.mathews}

    I hope he doesn’t do away with the aluminum riser because we make them at my work. We extrude a lot of aluminum riser thru out the year.

    Mathews risers are forged, not extruded.

    Who knows. I’ve been saying for a few years to make a bow with a more shooter-friendly draw. I was pleasantly surprised when the did just that with the Creed. To utilize a cam that required a 5″ idler was also swimming upstream from conventional bow design and function as it relates to the draw force curve. Never envisioned split limbs either (pinning them into the limb cup is a great idea).

    Guess we’ll just wait and see

    Vince i  see the mill master come the mill. I know which bow riser goes to which company.  It is an extruded piece of aluminum that get sent to our Fabrication dept to get cut to size and shipped out to where ever Mathews gets their cnc done.

    I am wishing for a more quiet version of the Creed !!

    I really like and am a loyal follower of Mathews bows and the Creed for all other ways but respectfully I am not happy about the level of noise my Creed generates, so I wish that it was quieter, even though everyone says it is quiet. I also have a Helim and that is half as noisy as my Creed.

    Regarding quiet bows, I was shooting besides a guy with a Hoyt carbon element yesterday and let me tell you, that bow was super quiet – that was a real eye opener and there may be one of those in my future if Mathews does not improve in this area.

    Really ? Thats weird maybe u got something goin on with your creed. I stood next to a guy shooting one and it was unbelievably quiet. Quieter than my z7x and the helium i thought. No need for improvement in that area in any of the bows i mentioned too..imo

    Maybe part of the Mission line?

    when we tour the factory, there are big boxes full of FORGED raw risers. they are then set up on the cnc machine and they come to life as the end product. extrusions are pushed thru a die, that’s NOT how mathews risers are made.

    All forged metals start as either a cast or extruded billet, extruded is preferred. The billet is then either cold, warm, or hot forged, to strengthen the internal grain structure. Aluminum is normally hot forged to near-net shape. Once the desired metallurgical properties and near-net shape are achieved, the forged billet can then be hardened, finish machined and polished.

    Three of us in my hunting group are hoping for a single cam 32-34″ ATA  340 fps IBO offering this year. We have been ready to buy for a couple of years but the product we wanted wasn’t there. We have collectively shopped the market and if the single cam offering does not materialize, we will go to two cams and that opens the field up completely. There are several two cam bows out there now that fit the performance/string angle profile we are looking for, so we’ll see what happens in November.
