I just bought a used mini genesis for my 8 year old and am thinking of putting finger savers on it for him. do I need a bow press to unhook the string? If not, what is the recommended procedure?

:D :welcome to the :solocam forum… :thumbup

Unfortunately one DOES have to press the bow…the string has to be removed on one end [top cam]…any nock points etc removed…there is a pin that looks like a bobby pin included which is slid onto string end loop…pin is inserted into the No Glove / Finger Savers and the smaller one finger piece is slid on first …than followed by the larger two finger piece…string is affixed and press is let off…

a nock point is installed …between the two Finger Savers…set 1/4′ above straight/90 degrees of bottom of arrow on rest..bow is ready to shoot and enjoyed…
