My last 2 weeks of turkey season was changed when my wife fell and broke her hip. I found out what being a care giver is all about. Eleven days after surgery, she is getting better every day. My sister came and stayed with her so I could go hunting on the last day of the season. Got in the blind just before 7 and had several hens come in.  Then around 8 there was a tom talking to me, but he just wouldn’t come in. Finally after about 40 minutes, he gave into my calls and came in to about 8 yards and I let the arrow fly. A hop, a roll, and a short 10 yards later he was down. As much as I love deer hunting this turkey hunting is a blast.IMG_0308IMG_0313
