Ok I just got a new ZXT about a week ago and I was trying to set my QAD drop away and as I was about to ease the string back it slipped out and busted my cam and string came off. I almost threw up after the shock wore off. How much is a new cam and string and cable for the zxt or will the warranty cover it?

Warranty will cover the cam, depending on your shop the strings and cables should run on average around $100 for the set.

ALWAYS draw the bow in a safe direction,WITH an arrow nocked and with a release. ALWAYS. but i’m sure you already know this by now.

Old post I know but for anybody who reads this. I myself did the walk of shame last week with my week old Chill R,  yes I too knew better but got lazy though I did have an arrow nocked the lazy part was instead of grabbing one of my good arrows I grabbed an old Gamegetter (uncut that I use for measurements) that was close to hand that unfortunately has a very worn and loose nock. This is where things get a little comical (in retrospect), my wife had just taken our 2 dogs for a walk (one male Bullmastiff & the other female Bull Arab) when they came through the door my wife lets them off lead and says “go get dad”. Well, my boy comes bounding around the corner finding me just about to let down from full draw (I had been adjusting my peep height and was doing a final check) jumps up on me from the side Marmaduke style knocking the arrow from the string and causing me to trigger the release. DRY FIRE big time bending both cams and leaving a huge raised welt on my forearm which has developed into a really nice sized bruise. Now some of you will be thinking that I should have shot my dog, my wife or both, but the fact remains while I love my bow I love my wife and my dog more. ( although I not sure in what order…lol).
