    Just a reminder with the upcoming season to double check all of your equipment… Fortunately my release hung on by a thread when the strap failed… No accidental release and no injuries

    Nobody mentioned Scott Archery’s “Can’t beat it” Guarantee…

    I’m going to send it in and see if they’ll honor it… I’ve already bought another Scott release but it never hurts to have a backup in my pack

    I’m a big fan of Scott releases and have been using the Rhino XT for several years now. I’d be interested to know what response you get. I know that they sell replacement straps for many of their releases, so I don’t know if this would be considered a warranty replacement or normal wear and tear.

    Their guarantee says “For Any Reason” and “No Questions Asked” {#emotions_dlg.typotux}

    I would tend to agree that this is probably normal wear and tear but if they offer a lifetime warranty with that type of language and don’t honor it, I’ll probably look in another direction for my next release.

    The warranty definitely indicates it should be fixed for free. I’m guessing they’ll get you taken care of. {#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_up}

    I enlarged the picture you posted. On close examination of the jaws, {#emotions_dlg.mathews_nerd}   it is apparent there are a lot more deer left to be shot.  {#emotions_dlg.mathews_big_smile}{#emotions_dlg.mathews_applause}

    Back to the topic … absolutely double-check.{#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_up} Good reminder.

    Seems like if anything can go wrong it will. I’ve had sights loosen, D-loops break, arrow rests come lose, even draw stops fall out.{#emotions_dlg.mathews_brick_wall}

    Yes… LOTS of deer left to be shot :)

    Something else I would like to add… I was noticing the last 3 or 4 shooting sessions prior to this strap breaking that my arrows were intermittently drifting 4″-6″ to the left while practicing… I couldn’t figure out what the problem was… sometimes it was 3 out of every 4 arrows… After getting the new release I haven’t had this happen at all.  That strap may have been separating before it finally broke causing my arrows to go off.

    That’s great customer service. I’ve shot Scott releases for years, never had a warranty issue.   Things like that go a long way in keeping repeat customers.

    Always a good idea to check the equipment before shooting.

    Good news Reggoh.  Scott was very good to me as well.  Within 7 days had my release back to me, totally fixed and no charge.

    Thank you Scott Archery! {#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_up}{#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_up}{#emotions_dlg.mathews_thumbs_up}
