Maybe I am wrong but I am pretty sure I can tell the difference between the 2 can anyone else? Or am I full of crap and there is no way to tell the difference. The reason I bring this is up cause last night here in GA it was a cool 79 degrees. I decided to hunt a stand that I just hung this year but haven’t gotten any deer on camera yet. Well I didn’t have all my shooting lanes in yet so I took my pole saw with me so I could finish cutting the limbs out of the way. Well when I got done I figured I would leave the pole saw on the ground under my stand(first mistake). Well I get up in my tree I lean over to haul my bow and my gps falls to the ground by the pole saw (second mistake). Well by now it is about 1815 or so, I am sitting in my tree reading a book and listening to all of what nature has to say. And around 1830 my phone starts to vibratre, it’s the wife texting asking me what I want for dinner. Well I text her back and I put my phone back in my pocket I look and I will be darn if there wasn’t a deer standing 25 yards in front of me doing the head bob trying to figure me out. So after a min or 2 she stomps her foot gives a blow trots off but doesn’t bolt she goes out about 45 yards or in cover and does the blowing thing for about 5 mins then leaves. I guess she didn’t know what I was, but knew she need to leave.(Mistake 3 wasn’t paying attention). So about 30 to 45 mins later I hear a deer coming down wind of me caught me by suprise again deer was only about 10 to 15 yards out when I heard it. Well this deer gets almost right under me and stops does the foot stomp and I can hear the deer sniffing real hard. Then the deer bolts I look hard and can make out the body whick was big but couldn’t see the head. Now this deer blew one time and was gone. I thinking it was a Buck cause I have other incounters with buck who have done the same thing. Anyway all in all it was good night getting busted twice seeing 6 deer and i didn’t even take a shot. I was just happy seeing deer in this stand.

Nope. Deer have their own way of doing things just like people. All bucks aren’t going to blow just one time and all does aren’t going to blow their dang fool heads off. You may be able to get it right most of the time, but you will never get it right all of the time. Same goes with deer hoof prints. I have seen some does with GIANT hooves and I’ve seen and killed big bucks with tiny hooves. It is nothing more than speculation until you see the deer blowing or see the deer standing in its tracks [=}=]
