I have used NAP Spitfires for a couple of years and have had excellent results with them. I will be using Thunderheads when I go elk hunting next month.[/color:8gem23bn]

Up until last 2-years ago, I always shot fixed (which is how I voted). The past 2-years I have carried both and taken deer with both. I’m building up courage :^O

Fixed Blade – (past several years) – G5 Montecs
Fixed Blade – (This Year) – Silverflames and Slick Tricks

Mechanical – (Last year) – Reapers
Mechanical – (This year) – NAP Spitfires (and I’m blaming Micky if they don’t work :p )

I’ve used Wasp fixed blade broadheads for 20yrs. The reason……

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”

Oh, so you are going to send me your bow this season? And, the Spitfires, too? How considerate. Take care of that back, send me all of your hunting gear, take two aspirin and call me after season to let me know if things are better. [/color:78xnflm1] :D

Montecs and Reapers for me. I don’t know which I’ll have nocked when the buck passes by but I have confidence that either will work for me. [=}=]

I’ve been using Montec’s so far, but I’m thinking of trying some Rage mechanicals this year.

Why? Short tracking jobs, and excellent blood trails.
Three deer with Miniblasters, and one with a Sidewinder; all went down in less than 60 yards, and three out of four in sight of the stand.
I have used fixed heads before, and I did not get those kind of tracking jobs. The blood trails sucked; I had to look for each drop of blood, and it sometimes ran out, with perfect double lung hits.
I shot a turkey with the Sidewinder last fall and it was literally disemboweled. Bird went three yards. The spiral cut is very destructive. I’ve had bent blades, and even broke one on the Miniblaster; with the results I got, it doesn’t matter. No bent or broken blades with the Sidewinder. My arrows will be topped with a Sidewinder this fall.

That’s mighty generous of you Micky. So far, I haven’t put anything on the wall. Maybe this’ll work. Can I get you my bow before you head to Colorado :^O

I’ll have both in the quiver this fall. Last year i used R.M.Snyper mech, and was very immpressed. So many great heads out there, its hard to choose. [=}=]
