Unless they come up with a shoot through riser on a target bow, I really doubt that they will come out with one anytime soon.

Sounds good. But to be honest, I have been shooting my MR8 for indoor lately and my Apex is collecting dust. Maybe I have found the perfect target bow? Hard to believe that I would be shooting a 33″ bow in tournaments.

Yes there will be a spring release of a new target bow…..but that is the final and last words they were willing to say about it until it debuts…..

I bet it is something competitive to the Hoyt Pro Edge Elite and the Elite Energy 35…..something in that 35 to 36 range…..the biggest question is whether its gonna be on a Monster frame or some other frame

I’m not a dedicated target or 3d shooter, but I have noticed at the indoor range I frequent in the winter  several former Mathews shooters have switched to Hoyt. Not a large sample size, but it is telling. Personally, I’m just a bow hunter so the single-cam 30″ ATA bows are my preference, but I do feel for you guys who want a longer hunting and/or target bow. Unless the number of people who are begging for such a bow is truly a very small minority, I just don’t understand why Mathews can’t come out with at least one such modern bow. It’s baffling, but I’m not in the archery retail business, so I don’t claim to really understand the marketing issues involved.

I think that the indoor game is so dominated by Hoyt that any serious indoor shooter naturally gravitates to that brand by association somewhat. And the brands have evened out in sales somewhat the last few year……Hoyt sales are rivaling out Mathews sales these days…..and thats the natural order of things….the ebb and flow…..Mathews will put out another target bow in a month or two tops…what it will be….who knows….but it will sell….and hopefully fill a gap in the lineup
