I don’t know anyone who has shot an animal with them. I do know a guy who was testing them and if you don’t tighten them down very good they will unscrew in flight and go where they want to. This happened twice to him. Needless to say he decided to shoot something else. I prefer NAP Thunderheads 100gr.
I tried them once, did you note once? The blades seemed very thin and broke easily! They may cause good blood trails, but if the blades break, you’re screwed!!
In response to that, a guy on AT shot them, and his friend to. His friend hit a deer in the shoulder, and used the 2 blade Crimson Talon, the broadhead mushroomed up just like a rifle bullet does when shot through something!
I and two other hunters on my lease use them. I personally have killed 5 deer and 4 pigs to 250 pounds with them with the furthest trail being about 50 yards. My friend also killed two deer this year and one pig. I believe any of the broad heads on the market will perform just fine if they are put where they should be. The last guy on the lease did not get a shot this year so his Crimson Talons did not get a chance to work.
