    I noticed tonight that my Creed is making some sort of Twang noise at the point of the actual shot.  Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix?

    If it didn’t make a noise before, and now it does, something has come loose, or is coming apart, IMHO {#emotions_dlg.mathews_peace}

    Check tightness on all screws … especially the cam.

    Verify limb lock down bolts haven’t backed off.

    If you can’t find anything, take it to your dealer for inspection … bearings, limb pocket, etc.

    Mine had a twang on the shot when I first got mine. My string stop was loose and had been pushed up an inch from the string. Re-righted with some locktite. All is quiet again :)

    I just got my creed and it has the same noise also. Mine is coming from the bottom cam. I you can “pluck” the string at the bottom at the cam and hear it make a rattle sound.  Everything seams tight……

    I’m actually having the same issue. It just started a couple of weeks ago. Seems to be around the bottom cam. Checked all the screws in the cam, still can’t figure it out.

    Would replacing the cam because of the noise be considered a warranty issue?

    I took my sting off and you can “wiggle” the cam and it wobbles really bad.  Put the axle in it with the cam in my hand and you can feel the bearing is lose.  Im asuming thats where my noise is coming from.  Called my dealer and mathews is sending them another cam.

    The arrow selection will not take the ‘Twang’ out of your Creed.

    If you are shooting a 70# Creed with 100-gr points, get the Beman ICS Hunter 300 shafts at Cabelas/BassPro/Dicks, etc.
    If you are shooting a 60# Creed with 100-gr points, get the Beman ICS Hunter 340 shafts.

    If you need more details, you need to start a post of your own to include DW, DL, whether you use illuminated nocks, wraps, what kind of fletch and how many, etc.

    Has anyone removed the vibration dampeners?  It makes a ton of difference if they get reversed.  The first Creed I shot I thought it was terrible, It had a lot of vibration and a terrible harmonic twang.  I noticed that it didn’t look right, based on pictures that I had been looking at.  I realized that the dealer had installed reversed the top and bottom dampener when he pressed the bow.  After a quick swap, it was a night and day difference.
